The University of Tasmania needed to keep staff comfortable as well as productive in their new administration block. We designed and installed our flagship heating only ceiling system.
The best way to understand how comfortable Radiant Heating and Cooling is, is to walk through an existing building and experience it first-hand. With that in mind, Radiant Solution’s showroom is in fact a fully operational office space over two levels totalling 420m2 in area. Customers are welcome to visit, walk through and actually feel the system in operation.
Because all the components are completely hidden, special viewing panels in ceilings and walls have been constructed to showcase the high tech piping and controls that work quietly away in the background, keeping the indoor temperature and humidity at optimum levels for human comfort.
The showroom also demonstrates how easily Radiant Heating and Cooling can be combined with the latest energy source technologies like solar and geothermal to further reduce long term running costs.
Creating a safe and comfortable environment not only improves the effective and profitable operation of an aged care facility, it is also critical for safety and health. Mt Esk Aged Care (a 73-bed facility) is Tasmania’s biggest provider of aged care. Their requirement was for a clean and safe heating option to keep their residents comfortable.
Jumbo approached us when they were looking to upgrade their showroom. The nature of their products and services required clean lines and open spaces. This is why underfloor and ceiling system was installed. To take advantage of the efficiency of underfloor heating at Jumbo Vision Showroom reverse cycle heat pumps were selected as heat and cooling sources.
The New Plus range of insulated panels, Quadrotto 1200 x 600 polystyrene insulated panels and the usual Maxi manifolds and distributors were used.
