This beautiful new chapel in the Hunter Region of NSW is the new center of worship for parishioners and students of the Catholic Diocese of Newcastle Maitland.
Located in a natural bushland setting in a fast growing region near Newcastle / Port Stephens, local firm Webber Architects designed the building, drawing inspiration from the location and providing for multiple uses by the adjoining school and surrounding residential community.
RHCS was engaged by North Constructions to provide hydronic underfloor heating for the ultimate in thermal comfort and efficiency in this very open indoor environment.
Radiant underfloor heating achieves the highest levels of comfort but at a lower operating temperature than convective air conditioning systems. In fact air conditioning has been excluded altogether with fans and natural ventilation proving the cooling function.
A total of twenty four underfloor heating circuits are served with efficient heating from a central plant room gas boiler. Bosch LPG condensing gas boiler and Heatmiser controls are included to keep energy costs under control.
For commercial buildings, our heating and cooling engineers offer a full service delivery package including design, drawings, supply, installation and market-leading after sales support.
